How will this program help me?

Perhaps you found us through our social media. Maybe you came across our website. Or a friend shared about their experience in our program. And it has you wondering, what will this program do for me? How will it help me?

Skills development

I would like to start by sharing some of the core aspects of our program and expanding on how they may help you. One of the key aspects of the program is skills development. What does this look like?

Have you ever found yourself in a role where you were expected to know how to support the growth of your team members while balancing targets and outcomes? Or navigate difficult conversations and situations while working together toward a common goal? And were you left feeling frustrated and lost as you have never been taught how to do that? So often interpersonal, communication and relational skills are left to us to figure out on our own. These skills are crucial for success and yet so many women I know are left floundering. This can cause you to doubt your abilities and wonder if you are the right fit for the job.

Developing these skills can seem daunting at first. The first step of admitting you need to learn these skills can be very vulnerable. Through our Women in Leadership Empowered program, we are committed to supporting you in acquiring, practicing and perfecting these skills.

Peer-to-Peer Mentorship

This leads me into another key aspect of the program which is peer-to-peer mentorship and how Women in Leadership Empowered supports this key area.

What I hear from the women I coach is how lonely leadership or running your own business can be, and how much they want to connect with other women going through the same thing. I also hear about the lack of female role models available to help guide women on their journey.

There is a deep desire to know that you are not the only one who feels the fear and experiences uncertainty. As women, we have learned to hide our emotions and put on a brave face. This can make it appear as though everyone but you has a perfect life, a perfect career, a perfect business, a perfect family. An environment with this pressure to perform and never admit to any issues takes a big toll on women.

Community is a top value for us and we have created our program to reflect this. Our members connect with each other on our calls, within their peer groups, and online in our community. Here they share their fears, the areas they are struggling with, and cheer each other on as they succeed. Our members have found our community to be very beneficial to share different perspectives and learn how other women approach challenges. Our members connect and support each other through the ups and downs of life.

Networking

Networking is a big part of our program and is consistently an area that many women find challenging. For many women we coach, networking creates feelings of fear and insecurity. They wish it was easier to access new people and networking opportunities filled with friendly faces that are eager to meet them too. We create those types of networking opportunities at Women in Leadership Empowered.

The reality of excelling in your career is it’s all about who you know. It’s also about surrounding yourself with people that are smarter than you. Building a highly diverse network enables you to gain insight into the collective wisdom of other professional women. It allows you to tap into their expertise and shorten your learning curve. It also gives you a better understanding of what some of the professional challenges are that we face. When you build a strong network, you are creating a community of people to support you. As well, you are sharing your own expertise which elevates the other person’s knowledge so that it is a give and take for all parties.

At Women in Leadership Empowered, our community is where so much magic happens because you know who has your back, who is there to cheer you on and pick you up when necessary. Having the ability to build real relationships in a safe space with like-minded professional women removes some of the fear that networking creates for a lot of us.

Coaching

Coaching at Women in Leadership Empowered builds on the other key aspects of leadership development and takes it one step further. We are passionate about helping you develop the awareness that is so key to your success. The ability to see yourself more clearly, understand what lens you are viewing the world through, and commit to putting changes into practice is what will set you apart. One of the key topics that comes up in coaching is around learning new ways to respond. All of us have ingrained patterns that have been there for so long we may not be aware of them. Being able to work through these patterns and leverage your existing strengths to overcome them allows you to become unstuck and move forward toward your goals. As you develop these key abilities, your relationships will improve and you will be able to see others more clearly as well. Our coaches are available as guides, sounding boards, cheerleaders, and accountability partners.
